"Pilipinas Amateur Golf Series" is the country's first and only nationwide series of golf tournaments that provides amateur men and women of all ages, with any handicap, the opportunity to compete on a level field. Our goal is to provide amateur golfers the opportunity to play a collection of the Philippine's finest golf courses and experience the excitement, camaraderie and friendly competition of a golf tournament. After atleast nine(9) qualifying rounds, four (4) highest pointers in each division will advance to the national finals and will claim the title of "2012 Pilipinas Amateur Golf Series National Champions".

2012 Pilipinas Amateur Golf Series

ENTRY ELIGIBILITY

The Pilipinas Amateur Golf Series is open to all local and foreign amateur players.

HANDICAP

Only Federation/IPI or NGAP handicap indexes will be accepted, or as otherwise approved by the Tournament Committee. The Committee reserves the right to reject or adjust handicaps of players during the tournament. Any player who fails to submit a handicap index will automatically carry a handicap index of zero (0). The series index will be based on the player’s September 2011 index.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to review all scores.

Note: Players failing to comply in submitting their lowest handicap in all the Divisions other than the "Open Division" will be disqualified from the event.

FIELD

Registration shall only be confirmed upon payment of entry fee and submission of current handicap index as of September 1, 2011. Entries are limited to a first-come, first-serve priority as most tournament fields are limited to 144 participants with priority going to the first 80 participants coming from the Host Club.

MANNER OF PLAY

Competition is an 18-hole stroke play for all divisions.

Entry fee is P2,000 to P2,500 for local players or P3,500 to P4,000 for foreign players. It may vary from one event to the next, host club members are fixed at P1,000. Please see our online registration page (www.pilipinasgolf.com) for a complete list of events and entry fees.

CLASSIFICATIONS:(Any division with less than 10 participants will be dissolved)

Men's Open Division – No age limit, No handicap

Men's Division (Ages 29 to 53 – born 1958 to 1982)

• Class A - Index 3.0 to 7.9
• Class B - Index 8.0 to 15.9
• Class C - Index 16.0 and above

Senior's Division (Ages 54 and above – born 1957 or earlier)

• Class A - Index 7.9 and below
• Class B - Index 8.0 and above

Ladies' Open Divison - No age limit, No handicap

Ladies' Division (Ages 29 and above - born 1982 or earlier)

• Class A - Index 10.0 to 17.9
• Class B - Index 18.0 and above

TEES TO BE USED

• Men's Open Division – Yellow
• Men's Division – Blue
• Senior's Division – White
• Ladies' Open Division - White
• Ladies' Division - Red

TIES

For ties, the winner will be decided by the following order; last 9, 6 and 3 holes (from the 18th hole regardless where the player started), 18th hole, 17th hole, etc., in that order. For the National Finals, ties will be by playoff.

NATIONAL FINALS

After atleast nine (9) qualifying rounds (we may include additional venues), four (4) highest pointers in each division will advance to the national finals at a venue to be announced, and will claim the title of "2012 Pilipinas Amateur Golf Series National Champions". However, divisions which were dissolved in more than 4 qualifying legs will not have national finals.

Points per leg will be computed as follows:

Total points earned per leg is the bonus points plus the size of field

Total Points per Leg

Your total points per leg = Bonus points + (size of field - rank)

Sample Computation:

If you finished 10th place in your group where total 50 players participated, your total points for that leg is 33 + (50 - 10) = 73 If you ranked 30th out of 50 players, your total leg points = 10 + (50-30) = 30
